Here I tried my best to put all the tools as got 63 tools and explained it here can be used for notes and personal growth.
1) Rectangular
Marquee Tool
Definition:
Makes
a rectangular selection (or a square, when used with the Shift key).
Elliptical Marquee. Makes an elliptical selection (or a circle, when used
with the Shift key). Single Row or Single Column Marquee. Defines the
border as a 1-pixel-wide row or column.
2)
Elliptical
Marquee Tool
Definition:
The Elliptical
Marquee Tool, which is what we'll be looking at here, is another of Photoshop's
basic selection tools. It's nearly identical to the Rectangular Marquee Tool
and works much the same way.
In
fact, the only real difference is that the Elliptical Marquee Tool allows us to
draw oval or circular selections! If you already know how to use the
Rectangular Marquee Tool, think of the Elliptical Marquee Tool as being the
same thing, just with extremely rounded corners.
3)
Single Row
Marquee Tool
Definition:
This is useful when you need
to trim just a tiny wee bit from the edge of an image—instead of selecting the
rest of the image and cropping that wee edge, use one of these tools to select
just the edge. Or use it to add or subtract from an existing selection (see
page 78). To create graphic design effects, fill the selection with color, add
a stroke of color to the selection, or do both
4)
Single
Column Marquee Tool
Definition:
Single Column Marquee Tool
creates one pixel wide and all image high column selections
5)Lasso Tool
Definition:
This is a freehand selection tool. Click and hold your left mouse button on the image and draw your selection.
6)
Polygonal Lasso
Tool
Definition:
(this is my favorite tool)Similar to the
lasso tool, except that instead of holding your mouse button down to draw,
left-click on various points to create a selection with a series of straight
edges. You can also hold down the Alt key (Windows) or Option key (Mac OS) to
draw freehand sections.
7) Magnetic Lasso Tool.
Definition:
This is a very handy tool for selecting areas
which have reasonably well-defined edges. Left-click at the starting point of
your selection and simply move the mouse along the edge."Fastening
points" are automatically made at various points along the edges.
Left-click at any time to add a fastening point manually
8) Quick Selection Tool.
Definition:
You can use the Quick Selection tool
to quickly “paint” a selection using an adjustable round brush
tip. As you drag, the selection expands outward and automatically finds and
follows defined edges in the image.

9)Magic Wand Tool
Definition:
The Magic Wand Tool, known simply as theMagic Wand, is one of the
oldest selectiontools in Photoshop. Unlike other selectiontools that
select pixels in an image based on shapes or by detecting object edges,
theMagic Wand selects pixels based on tone and color.
10) Crop Tool
Definition:
The Crop Tool cuts out a defined area deleting or hiding
the rest of an image: In the Toolbox, select the Crop Tool, click on the image and draw a rectangle holding mouse's
button pressed. When you release the button a bounding box appears. You can
move, resize and rotate it.
11) Perspective crop tool
Definition:
The
perspective crop tool can be used to crop and correct the converging verticals
or horizontal lines in a picture with a single crop action
12) slice tool
Definition:

13) Slice Select tool
Definition:
The Slice Select Tool selects, moves, and resizes slices Just that
14) Eyedropper Tool
Definition:
The eye dropper tool is used to pick up a color value from the canvas. This is a very useful tool because there will be many times when you want to switch colors while painting to a color already on your canvas and you do not want to go all the way through the color chooser dialog. In these cases, simply click on the eye dropper tool in the toolbox and click on the color you want to select inside the canvas. When you do so, your foreground color in your color boxes will change to the selected color.
15) 3d Material Eyedropper Tool(not for all if there
can use)
Definition:
Material editing workflow is easier now with the 3D Material Drop and 3D Select Material tools in the 3D panel. With the 3D Material Drop tool, Option-click (PC: Alt-click) a material to load it and then click anywhere to drop it to another part of your model, another 3D mesh, or another 3D layer. Use the 3D Select Material tool to help target the right material as indicated by the material picker thumbnail in the 3D panel.
16) Color Sampler Tool
Definition:
Color Sampler Tool allows you to
view color values in defined spots of your image.
17) Ruler Tool
Definition:
The Ruler tool
helps
you position images or elements precisely. The Ruler tool calculates the
distance between any two points in the workspace. When you measure from one
point to another, a nonprinting line is drawn,

18) Note Tool
Definition:
Like post-it notes,
but digital. You can use this tool to add small little note boxes to your
image. These are useful if you’re very forgetful or if you’re sharing your
Photoshop file with someone else. I’m pretty sure it only works with .PSD
files.
19) Count Tool (not
for all photoshop)
Definition:
You can use the Count
tool to count objects in an image. To count objects manually, you click the
image with the Count tool and Photoshop tracks the number of clicks. The count
number is displayed on the item and in the Count tool options bar. Count
numbers are saved when you save a file.
20) Pen Tool
Definition:
The standard Pen tool draws with the greatest precision
21) Freefrom Pen Tool
Definition:
the Freeform Pen tool draws paths as if you were drawing with pencil on paper, and the magnetic pen option lets you draw a path that snaps to the edges of defined areas in your image. You can use the pen tools in conjunction with the shape tools to create complex shapes.
22) Add Anchor Point Tool
Definition:
The Add Anchor Point Tool adds anchors and reshapes existing vector shapes / paths (shape outlines).
23) Delete Anchor Point Tool
Definition:
The Delete Anchor Point
Tool
deletes anchors and reshapes existing vector shapes / paths (shape outlines).

24) Convert Point Tool
The Convert Point
Tool
edits existing vector shape masks and paths (shape outlines) by converting
smooth anchor points to corner anchor points and vice versa.

25) The Horizontal Type Tool
Definition:
The Horizontal Type Tool creates
and edits vector-based text in a separate layer.
26) Vertical Type Tool

30) Direct Selection Tool
Definition:
The Direct Selection
Tool selects and moves existing path's /
vector shape mask's segments / anchor points

31)Hand Tool:
Definition:
The Hand
Tool allows you to navigate an edited image,
when it is not completely visible in its window

32)Rotate View Tool
Definition:
A long-desired
feature from other leading digital painting tools is the Rotate View tool,
which allows you to rotate the document canvas to make otherwise uncomfortable
strokes with a digitized art tablet perfectly natural. Press the R key or click-and-hold the Hand
tool at the bottom of the Toolbox and select the Rotate View tool. Click-and-drag on the document until you
reach your desired placement. For
precision and consistency, you can also enter rotation numerically in the Rotation Angle field in the Options Bar. Click Reset View in the Options Bar, or
double- click the Rotate View tool in the Toolbox, to return to normal
orientation.
33) Spot Healing Brush Tool
Definition:
The spot healing
brush is the default healing tool in Photoshop and can be used to clone areas
from an image and blend the pixels from the sampled area seamlessly with the
target area. The basic principle is that the texture from the sample area is
blended with the color and luminosity surrounding wherever you paint. The main
difference between this and the standard healing brush is that the spot healing
brush requires no source point. You simply click on the blemishes you want to
get rid of (or drag with the tool to paint over the larger areas you wish to
repair) and the spot healing brush works out the rest for you. It is in many
ways a lot easier to use than the standard healing brush and extremely
effective at removing most blemishes and marks
34) Healing Brush Tool
Definition:

36) Content-Aware
Move Tool
Definition:
The
Patch tool is used to remove unwanted image elements. The Content-Aware option
in the Patch tool synthesizes nearby content for seamless blending with the
surrounding content. The results are similar to Content-Aware Fill, but using
this tool gives you the flexibility to choose the source area.
37)
Red Eye Tool
Definition:
Red eye in
portraits is caused when the flash source is used too close to the lens axis
and the pupils of the eye are wide open. One way to avoid this happening is to
set your camera flash to red eye mode (if available). The camera will usually
pop a single or short series of flashes just before firing the main camera
flash exposure. Failing that, the red eye tool in Photoshop is an easy-to-use
tool for removing red eye from photographs that have been taken with a direct
flash source.
38) Brush Tool
Definition:
The Brush tool is a basic painting tool. It works like a
traditional drawing tool by applying the color using strokes. It's located in
the standard Tool Bar and its default shortcut is the letter B
39)Pencil Tool
Definition:
The Pencil tool shares
a flyout menu with the various Brush tools. You can press Shift+B to make it appear if it's
hidden underneath the Brushtool. The Pencil tool's current
brush tip (usually the 1-pixel brush, unless you select something else) appears
in the Brush Preset Picker on the Options bar.
40) Color
Replacement Tool
Definition:
The
Color Replacement tool lets you replace a specific color in your image. For
best results use soft brushes with this tool to help blend the colors into the
original image. Have you ever captured that perfect picture of a family member
or friend, only to find they have red eyes? Or maybe there’s a part of your
image where the color draws attention away from the focal point. Either way,
the Color Replacement tool is a great feature that allows you to take control
of the final image
41) Mixer
Brush Tool
Definition:
The Mixer Brush simulates realistic painting techniques such as mixing colors on the canvas, combining colors on a brush, and varying paint wetness across a stroke.
The Mixer Brush has two paint wells, a reservoir and a pickup.
The reservoir stores the final color deposited onto the canvas and has more
paint capacity. The pickup well receives paint only from the canvas; its
contents are continuously mixed with canvas colors.
42)
Clone Stamp Tool
Definition:
Go
to the image area and click on it while holding the "Alt" key to
capture the sample texture. Then move the tool to the image
and hold the left mouse button to copy the image texture into another place. As
you can see the Adobe Photoshop clone stamp tool has been
successfully applied.Feb

43) Pattern
Stamp Tool
Definition:
Use
the Rectangular Marquee tool to select the area you want to convert into a
pattern. If you don't make a selection, Photoshop uses your entire image as a
basis for the pattern. If you're using a selection to define your pattern, you
must use a rectangular selection. You can't use a feathered selection of any
kind.
44) History
Brush Tool
Definition:
In Adobe Photoshop CS6, you can use the History Brush tool to apply an image area from a
different state or snapshot to your current state. Use this tool to restore a portion of an image to
an earlier state, while leaving the rest of the modified image alone.
45) Art
History Brush Tool
Definition
:
Click in the far-left column in the History panel to select the state that you
want to use as the source for the Art History Brush tool. Select theArt History Brush
tool from
the Tools panel. You can also press Y to select it. Select from the choices on
the Options bar.
46) Eraser
Tool
Definition:
Erase with the Eraser tool. Select the Eraser tool . Set the background color you want to apply if
you are erasing in the background or a layer with locked transparency. In the
options bar, choose a Mode setting
47) Background
Eraser Tool
Definition:
The Background Eraser Tool gives you a round brush with a
crosshair in the center. It is similar to the Rubber Stamp tool because they both use a sampling
technique. In other words, when you click on an image, it samples colors that
appear under the crosshair and erases those colors from within the circular
cursor, as you drag it around.
48). Magic Eraser Tool
Definition:
The
Magic Eraser Tool automatically clears continuously colored areas:
49) Gradient
Tool
Definition:
The gradient tool
can be used to draw linear, radial, angular, reflected or diamond gradients. To
use the gradient tool go to the Options bar and click on the gradient ramp (see
Figure 1) to select a gradient option such as Foreground to Background color, or
click on the small arrow to the right to open the gradient list (see Figure 2).
When you drag with the gradient tool inside an image window, a gradient fill is
created between those two points. If you hold down the Shift key as you do
this, you can constrain the gradient angle to a horizontal/vertical or 45
degree angle. If you check the Reverse box you can reverse the gradient fill
colors before you drag. It is probably a good idea to keep the Dither checkbox
checked, as this will add subtle noise, ensuring there is less risk of any
banding appearing in the gradient fill. When the Transparency box is checked,
if there are transparency masks in a gradient, these will be recognized.
50) Paint Bucket Tool
Definition:
The
paint bucket tool fills an area of an image based on color similarity. Click
anywhere in the image and the paint bucket will fill an area around the pixel
you clicked.
51) 3D Material Drop tool
Definition:
Material editing workflow is easier now with the 3D Material
Drop and 3D Select Material tools in the 3D panel. With the 3D Material Drop
tool, Option-click (PC: Alt-click) a material to load it and then click
anywhere to drop it to another part of your model, another 3D mesh, or another
3D layer. Use the 3D Select Material tool to help target the right material as
indicated by the material picker thumbnail in the 3D panel.
52) Dodge
Tool
Definition:
The Dodge tool and the Burn tool lighten or darken areas of
the image. These tools are based on a traditional darkroom technique for
regulating exposure on specific areas of a print. Photographers hold back light
to lighten an area on the print (dodging) or increase the exposure to darken areas on a
print (burning). The more you paint over an area with the Dodge
or Burn tool, the lighter or darker it becomes.
53) Burn
Tool

the lighter or darker it becomes.
54) Sponge
Tool
Definition:
Photoshop
CS6 can help you turn down the color for a softer effect. The Sponge tool,
which soaks up color like, well, a sponge, reduces the richness or intensity
(or saturation) of a color in the areas you paint. It can also perform the
reverse, imbuing a specific area with richer, more vibrant colors.
55)Burn Tool
Definition:
Open an image and select the Blur tool from the Tools panel. In the Options
bar, specify these settings: Select a brush from the Brush Preset Picker or the
larger Brush panel. Use a small brush for applying small areas of blur.
56) Sharpening Tool
Definition:
Sharpening enhances the definition of edges in an image.
Whether your images come from a digital camera or a scanner, most images can
benefit from sharpening. When sharpening images, keep the following in mind:
